Den 28 till 30 november avhålls den Internationella rödakors- och rödahalvmåne-konferensen i Genève. Migration är åter på agendan.

I ett nu publicerat förslag till resolution uppmanas staterna att säkerställa att:

”relevant laws and procedures are in place to enable National Societies to enjoy effective and safe access to all migrants without discrimination and irrespective of their legal status”; 

”procedures for entry and other procedures at international border, especially those that might result in denial of access to international protection, deportation or interdiction of persons, include adequate safeguards to ensure the safety, access to international protection, well-being and dignity of those persons”.
